Shunpike Field (Co-ed Flag Football)

58 Shunpike Rd, Chatham Township, NJ 07928. Shunpike Field is the home turf for Co-ed Flag Football (Grades 3–8, September 12 – November 14). Water only is permitted on the turf; gum, sunflower seeds, and sports drinks are prohibited.

Lum Field Complex & Lum Field House

Lum Ave, Chatham, NJ 07928. Youth tackle football preseason practices (August 18 – September 3, Mon–Thu 6:00–8:00 PM) and regular-season practices (Tue/Thu 6:00–8:00 PM & Sat 9:00–11:00 AM) meet at Lum Field (2026 practice schedule). Helmet, helmet cover, and shoulder pad fitting takes place at Lum Field House.

Cougar Field at Chatham High School

255 Lafayette Ave / 314 Shunpike Rd, Chatham, NJ 07928. Cougar Field hosts Chatham High School football, youth tackle Sunday home games, NJSYFL November playoffs, and Cougar Cheerleading. NJSYFL rules prohibit tailgating at games.

Thunder, Lightning & Weather Policy

Play and practice stop immediately when thunder is heard or lightning is seen. All players, coaches, and spectators must leave the field and take shelter in a substantial building or enclosed vehicle. Activities resume only after 30 minutes have passed since the last thunder or lightning; every new occurrence restarts the 30-minute clearance period. Coaches post weather alerts via TeamSnap sign in.
