Chatham Youth Football Club – New Jersey Suburban Football League (NJSYFL)

We operate as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN: 80-0838556) and closely partner with Chatham Recreation, the Chatham School District, and Chatham Borough and Township. The Chatham Football Club program is open to residents of Chatham across Tackle Football (Grades 4–8), Co-ed Flag Football (Grades 3–8), and Cougar Cheerleading (Grades 4–8).

“The Program is dedicated to serving the youth of Chatham in the sport of football. All club board members and coaches in all of our programs are volunteers focused on improving our program and enhancing your child’s football and cheer experience. The club’s main purpose is to safely teach the fundamentals of football and cheer in an atmosphere that promotes the concepts of teamwork, dedication, commitment, and fair play. The goal at each level of all of our programs is to have 100% of the young men and women continue to play at the next level.”

About the NJSYFL

The New Jersey Suburban Youth Football League (NJSYFL) was founded on December 8, 1972 in Scotch Plains, NJ. The league was formed to provide participating communities with a chance to offer their resident players an opportunity to play in a non-restrictive football environment where every player has a place to play within their town’s program. As of 2025, there are 21 towns in the league serving more than 4,500 boys and girls each season.

Game schedules, playoff brackets, and Super Bowl sites are determined by the NJSYFL. The regular season consists of 8 games plus two weeks in November for playoffs and Super Bowls.
